» Leicestershire North NHWAWelcome to Loughborough local policing unitInspector Sean Gormley Inspector Sean Gormley has been a police officer since 1984. He initially joined Sussex police and transferred to Leicestershire in 1988. He has worked in a variety of areas and departments throughout his police career and has a wealth of operational experience. He was promoted to sergeant in 1992 and has served on both the North and Central areas before working with the Tactical Support Group at Force Headquarters. As an Inspector, Inspector Gormley has worked in the Community, Intelligence and Operations Support departments. He moved to Loughborough as LPU commander in January 2004. Inspector Gormley said: "I am very fortunate to be given the command of Loughborough local policing unit. I have previously worked here as a constable and a sergeant and know many of the local people. "I strongly believe in local community based policing and I am working hard to place a dedicated officer on every beat. These officers are key to maintaining contact with the public, other agencies and partners. They will impact on local issues and long term problems." We provide a 24-hour policing service but there may be times when you need to go into a police station. Listed below is your local policing unit together with its usual opening times. Whilst we try hard to make sure that the opening hours are kept to there may be occasions when, due to operational reasons, it may be necessary to change them. During opening hours all local stations can be contacted by calling (0116) 222 2222. Loughborough local policing unit |
