» Leicestershire North NHWAWelcome to Coalville local policing unitQuorn local policing unit provides a policing service to 21 Leicestershire villages with a population of approximately 45,000 residents. The LPU is divided into six neighbourhood beats, each with a designated officer. The beat officers work alongside a team of local police officers headed by a sergeant who also support the work of the beat officer. There are a large number of beauty spots in the area attracting a large number of visitors from around the county. Officers work closely with the wardens to deter criminals, maintaining good links to pass information quickly and have recently erected a number of talking signs reminding visitors to be vigilant. The main priorities of the LPUs are to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour and several anti-social behaviour orders have been successfully obtained. Officers will continue to target those individuals who it is known through intelligence are committing crime, dealing drugs and acting in an anti-social manner. We provide a 24-hour policing service but there may be times when you need to go into a police station. Listed below is your local policing unit together with its usual opening times. Whilst we try hard to make sure that the opening hours are kept to there may be occasions when, due to operational reasons, it may be necessary to change them. During opening hours all local stations can be contacted by calling (0116) 222 2222. Coalville local policing unit |
