Each Neighbourhood Watch Beat has a basic structure.
Principal Beat Officer ( PBO )
The Beat Officer is a service Police Officer who looks after us on a day to day basis. Whilst walking the Beat local contact is maintained.
Any information relevant to our area is given to the Cascade Manager for distribution or sent via the 'getting the message' system
When not on the beat itself, any 'interests' in our area will have the involvement of the Beat Officer.
Beat Cascade Manager
A Beat Cascade Manager is the main point of contact between the scheme co-ordinators and the Police.
Scheme Co-ordinator
Each Scheme has a Co-ordinator and a Deputy. They are the chosen representatives for the scheme.
Scheme members
The scheme consists of a number of neighbours wishing to look after the wellfare of themselves and their community. They can number in range from half a dozen houses to a whole road.
Any information relating to crime or criminal activities can be passed to the co-ordinator or direct to crimestoppers to ensure annonimity.
