Neighbourhood team
Sgt Martin Owen (1362)
"I have been a police officer for 23 years and have been fortunate to have worked in a variety of roles across the Leicestershire Constabulary force area.
"In March 2010 I joined the neighbourhood team supervising officers policing the Dishley, Gorse Covert, Thorpe Acre, Outwoods, Forest Road, Shelthorpe, Shepshed and Hathern beats. I believe the neighbourhood teams together with our partner agencies working with local communities can have a positive impact tackling both crime and anti-social behaviour issues. I intend to continue to promote this partnership work in order to address the concerns that directly affect the local communities and residents who live there."
PC Phil Martindale (1799)
PC Phil Martindale has worked for Leicestershire Constabulary since 2001 having previously worked for West Midlands Police.
He has been based on the north area since this time and has been the community beat officer for Shepshed since 2004.
PC Martindale enjoys working closely with the local community, listening to issues and working together to identify solutions to problems.
PC Richard Neville (1264)
PCSO Damien Hyatt (6158)
I joined Leicestershire Constabulary as a PCSO in October 2008 and cover the area of Shepshed and Hathern.
I enjoy providing a high visibility police presence and engaging with the community whilst on patrol, listening and resolving community issues.
PCSO Kelly Fowkes (6046)
"In 2004 I joined Leicestershire Constabulary as a Special Constable based at Ashby local policing unit. I became a PCSO in January 2007 and I am based at Shepshed police station covering the whole of Shepshed town and Hathern.
"I enjoy the challenge of working with the community and working closely with the rest of the beat team to make Shepshed and Hathern a safer place."
