Getting the message

Beat 19 enjoys the benefit of the 'Get the message' scheme.

Here up to date crime information is relayed from the Loughborough Neighbourhood Watch office on information received from the Police Community Unit
Information relevant to Beat 19 is sent via a web-site to the co-ordinators of each of the schemes in Shepshed.
This information is received within minutes of transmission and as long as people's mobile phones are on standby and have a signal, the message is downloaded immediately.

Heed can then be taken of these messages and passed to individual scheme members in a timely and accurate manner.

Scheme members can be made aware of distraction burglaries, scams, rogue traders and so forth.
