The majority of the neighbourhood beat covers Loughborough University and Loughborough College. The beat stretches from Derby Road through the Storer Road area and includes the RNIB and Loughborough Colleges.

The neighbourhood beat continues along Forest Road and Ashby Road up to the M1 motorway.

PC David Bliss has been a police officer since 1987 and has spent all of his service at Loughborough. He has been the beat officer for the University since 2003 and hopes to build on the strong relationships he has developed during this time.
