Scheme Co-ordinator

Each Neighbourhood Watch scheme has a co-ordinator and a deputy who look after the running of their scheme.

The co-ordinator will be the recipient of information supplied by the Police through the Loughborough Neighbourhood Watch office.
This can range from incidents happening nearby to general alerts relating to distraction burglaries or getting the good news that nothing much is happening.

In turn, it is expected that this information, when deemed relevant, is passed on to their scheme members.
This is normally done by having a word, dropping a note round or giving folks a telephone call.

Each scheme has the oppertunity to send two representatives to a six weekly meeting held at the Police Station or other local meeting place.

Here the Beat Officers can describe what has been going on and information is supplied about trends and actual incidents.

A deputy is required in the event of holidays and the like.
