This three day event was a great success. Over the three day event 14 different volunteers were present.
The volunteers was much appreciated by the party-goers and our help was most welcomed.
A total of 126hrs of free time was given between them.

Our main aim was to make people aware of crime from tents and from persons.
We offered to mark all mobile phones, cameras and other electrical equipment and bring home the message of crime prevention.

The thousands of people who came along were a happy crowd with no real trouble to speak of.
Everyone was either slightly merry or asleep with genuine comradeship established between neighbouring tents.
It was a very colourful sight, event though the main colour worn was black.

1426 mobile phones were post coded using UV pens.
356 Tent labels were issued
127 Cameras were marked like the mobiles.
66 Stereos (incl personal stereos )
10 other items were marked, including a guitar and water bottle.

1638 vehicles were issued with security information and with a rear view mirror hanger showing people that the vehicle was empty of valuables.
350 hologram stickers were issued ( these were all we had )

Attendance to the event had doubled from last year.
Whilst the number of crimes was slightly higher than last year it had nowhere near doubled.
The communication and co-operation between site security staff, volunteers and Police was so good that several arrests were made of those committing the crimes.

Well done to all those who took part.

Phone leaflets were handed out with each phone which was marked with postcodes and house numbers using special UV pens.

Additional stickers were also available to indicate that this equipment was security marked thereby deterring the criminal element.

Yellow tent stickers were also given to indicate that tent were void of valuables.
