The Valley neighbourhood beat covers the villages of Castle Donington, Hemington, Lockington and Cavendish Bridge. It also includes the Donington Park Race Circuit.

It also covers Kegworth, Breedon, Long Whatton, Diseworth, Belton, Osgathorpe, Swannington and Newbold Cole-Orton. together with the parishes of Oaks in Charnwood and Isley Walton.

It is a large neighbourhood covering over half of the LPU area. The M1 motorway and A42 passes through the centre of the beat.

The neighbourhood is partly rural and urban with a Community College in Castle Donington and numerous primary schools in the area.
