At the same time we also have Data-tags for bicycles.
This is a chip which slides into the bike frame but can not be removed.
The chip can be read by a Police scanner.
So when your bike is recovered, it can be returned to you.
It will also mean that who-ever is caught with your bike gets done for the theft.
