Measham and surrounding villages

The neighbourhood beat covers a number of villages including Appleby Parva, Appleby Magna, Chilcote, Measham, Newton Burgoland, Snarestone, Stretton en le Field and Swepstone
It has retail and industrial premises as well as a large agricultural community. The beat has a dedicated officer and a PCSO working split shifts enabling better coverage of the area increasing visibility and public reassurance.

Sgt Paul Clarke (5)
"I joined Leicestershire Constabulary in 1999. I have worked at both Hinckley and Syston before moving to Coalville as an acting sergeant in the spring of 2007.

"I am very aware of the need to listen to the community views and fully support the role of the principle beat officers (PBOs) who are working hard on Neighbourhood Policing issues. I would encourage you to speak to your local PBOs, or myself, about any issues that are affecting you."

PC Stuart Davis (653)
PC Davis have been a uniformed officer based at Ashby local policing unit since 1998. He became beat officer for Measham and the surrounding villages in August 2005.

He is hoping to work with the community to target anti-social behaviour, reduce burglaries and improve links with Neighbourhood Watch groups.

PCSO David Kendrick (6012)
"I was initially based in Anstey before moving to Coalville in 2007. I have a good knowledge of the area and try hard to work on local issues that trouble the community.

"I feel that it is vital people feel confident something positive will be done when they raise their concerns with me, so please don’t be afraid to approach me and discuss any issues you may have."

PCSO Gary Springthorpe (6177)
"I joined Leicestershire Constabulary in September 2008 and have been on this beat since February 2009. I feel that it is important that you as the community have someone you can express your issues too regarding the beat. I am approachable and willing too help you with any problems that you may encounter, I look forward too hearing from you in the near future."
