Renault racing, 10th & 11th September.

Two days of furious racing involving Renault vehicles had a mixed response from the public.
Day 1 was a very rainy day where volunteers still turned up and patrolled the car parks and handed out crime prevention leaflets to the 3 thousand or so spectators.
Hats off to those who were there.

Sunday was a different story. The rain in the morning fell away leaving a dry day with visitor numbers up to 10 thousand+
The car parks were full, and the volunteers did a grand job advising the public to keep valuable out of sight and vehicles locked.
Potential trouble was kept at bay by high visibility patrolling of the car parks.

The boys in blue were there of course supported by the community support officers.
From foot patrols to bicycle patrols with the volunteers being in the public eye kept the fear of crime at bay.
