The neighbourhood beat covers the villages of Rothley, Swithland, Newtown Linford, Cropston and Thurcaston.
The villages are mainly residential and the beat is also home to the popular Bradgate Park and Swithland Woods.
The neighbourhood beat has ten public houses, four schools and various shops and businesses.

PC Steve Rhodes has worked for Leicestershire Constabulary for over 23 years and has been a beat officer in a number of locations since 1989. He has been involved in numerous community groups and issues such as Neighbourhood Watch, Pub Watch, Business Watch and Countryside Watch and carried out ongoing initiatives with the schools and been involved with youth groups and committees.

PC Rhodes regularly attends parish council, Neighbourhood Watch and other community meetings and is involved in regular initiatives with the Bradgate Park wardens and is always willing to listen to any community concerns and issues.

Rothley, being considerably larger, is supported by Scheme Co-ordinators who pass information received from the Beat Manager to residents in their roads.
