Our Beat Team
Sgt Jamie Osborne (1206)
I have sixteen years service, the last two of which have been at Loughborough Local Policung Unit.
I am the neighbourhood beat team leader for the Hastins Ward which has recently been given a priority status
We are working closely with the community and partner agencies to reduce crime and anti social behaviour.
PC Gordon Doudie (1993)
I have been a Police Officer for nearly 11 years now. I started at Loughborough before moving to Quorn and then I transferred to South Yorkshire Police but returned to Leicestershire Constabulary in 2003. I then became the beat officer for Castle Donington in North West Leicestershire and I remained there for five years or so before moving to Syston Police Station in January 2008 where I became the beat officer for Birstall and then Sileby where I reduced anti-social behaviour by 50%.
I joined Loughborough in October 2009 for a fresh challenge and hope with the experience I have, along with my other team members, we will have an immediate impact on the concerns and issues that have been raised by those who live on the Hastings ward.
I see myself as being an old style bobby with strong beliefs that every person deserves to have a better quality of life and I hope that you will raise any issues you feel we need to address to ensure we can deliver that quality of life.
PC Sam Whittaker (4574)

Now I have moved to Loughborough as a Beat Officer I am looking forward to developing and maintaining a good relationship with the community in the Hastings Ward and Meadow Lane area. I am committed to tackling and reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in the area. I will gladly listen to any problems you have so please feel free to contact me, or stop me for a chat when I’m out and about.
PC Sheela Kaya (4600)
I have been part of the policing in Loughborough for nearly three years. Working with the community has given me much enjoyment and satisfaction. I endeavour to deal with problems affecting the community within the area of the beat promptly and professionally. I am very supportive of neighbourhood policing and the Police Pledge which clearly outlines my responsibilities which I will endeavour to deliver to the community I serve in the Loughborough area on a daily basis.
PC Tam Baines (2054)
I have been working as a beat officer on Hastings and Meadow Lane beat for 3 years. I am keen to engage with the local community and work closing with our partner agencies to improve the beat for the local community.

PCSO Graham Mason (6560)
I have been working as a PCSO for Leicestershire Constabulary for five years. The majority of which was spent covering Melton Mowbray.
For the past year I have been stationed at Loughborough Police Station, and now cover the Hastings and Meadow Lane area.
I am very approachable and would encourage anyone with a problem or not to come and speak to me or to just say hello. Along with my beat colleagues and through Neighbourhood Policing we plan to support the residents of our beat and deliver a second to none service to ensure an improvement in the area.
It is my priority to help rid the area of crime and anti social behaviour and, by working together, I believe that we can achieve this.
PCSO Virendra Patel (6542)
Virendra Patel has been a PCSO for four years, covering Loughborough Town Centre for two of those years.
PCSO Patel now patrols the Peel Drive and Meadow Lane area in Loughborough and aims to make the area a safe and friendly place to live.
